Spring has Sprung

James and Mary were excited to set up a lemonade stand. The weather was so nice it was great to get outside. They had some spilled lemonade and made a few dollars. I think it was a success.

The apricot tree in our yard was beautiful with all its blossoms and the peach trees are just starting.

James has got past counting and starting to do math and he is loving it. The other day he came home and was doing "take aways" on the sidewalk.

The girls had fun rolling around getting their hair to stick up. They thought they were pretty funny.

You had a Birthday Shout Hooray!!!

I can't believe that Emily turned two. She has grown up so fast. She loved her "pincess" cake and everything about her birthday. It is Birthday season around here Jim had his birthday the next day. So we have had a lot of fun and cake!

She loved everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to her. She just grinned and took it all in. I tried to get her to sing to my mom later because it was her birthday a couple of days before and she wouldn't because it was her birthday and she knew it.

We practiced blowing out candles at breakfast!

EASTER

Easter was lots of fun. The kids had fun at the Town Easter Egg Hunt. They enjoyed coloring eggs which are still in the fridge waiting to go to the sand dunes to roll when it warms up. We went and got cotton candy which the price has gone up from 10 cents to a quater. Its been 10 cents my whole life. You will have to look at Chelsey blog to get the messy pictures of pure sugar enjoyment. They were excited to find their Easter baskets and look for hidden eggs on Easter morning and looked cute in their new easter clothes that they got to wear the Sunday before.

Branding

Every spring one of the big events in the Stephenson family is branding the calves. Jim's dad has 150 every year. The kids love to ride out and see the new calves in January and Febuary. The end of March is branding time. Jim is the official shot giver in the process. The kids love to poke them to get them threw the shoot. Mary even got to use the "hot shot" ( it gives them a little shock) to help move them. We have a picnic and fly kites. It is a lot of fun!

For some reason James, Megan, and Morgan thought they should get them when they got out of the shoot. Lucky for the cows they are not good with a whip!
